The Muppets will be making appearances on Disney Junior in a series called "Muppet Moments" starting with four shorts on April 3rd. This short series will focus on conversations between the muppets and children. The series is focused on audiences 2 to 7. Appearances include Kermit the Frog, Fozzie Bear, Miss Piggy, the Great Gonzo, Animal, Beaker, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew, Rowlf, Bobo, the Newsman, Rizzo, Sam Eagle and Pepe the King Prawn! We're definitely excited to see the Muppets in this new series! Hopefully it will lead to more!

This does bring up an interesting question: Does Disney think the Muppets have the capacity to reach beyond the a young audience?

I'm curious if this is a test run for a new series or is it a way to reintroduce the characters in a new way to generate more interest in the Muppets for a new generation? In other words, kids don't really identify with or know these characters.

The series will start on April 3rd and a new daily short will air until May 8. New shorts will air throughout 2015 and will be available on watchdisneyjunior.go.com.
