Disney Infinity 2.0 Launched

Disney Infinity 2.0 launched at midnight. Looks like Yandu and Falcon are not out but the rest of the Marvel characters are.

Out of 6 packs of Power Discs I received no duplicates and got the special Yondu disc.

Today Disney revealed the full line-up of 2.0 Power Discs, which include everything from Spider-Man’s Alien Symbiote Costume to Aladdin’s Magic Carpet. All 82 Marvel and Disney Power Discs are listed below and shown in action in the trailer! Watch the trailer at Disneyinfinity.com!

These Power Discs will be sold in 2 disc blind packs for a suggested retail price of $4.99. All Marvel Power Discs will be available September 23, and Disney Power Discs will be available on November 4.

Treasure Planet - Disney Infinity Wish List

One of the biggest missed opportunities in Disney Infinity thus far has been that Treasure Planet hasn't gotten any love. Disney Infinity 2. 0 will have the release of Jim's Solar Surfer, but that's just a skin for the hoverboard. I would love to see more of Treasure Planet represented in Disney Infinity. So today we are highlighting a few wish list items from the classic film.

First, we have power discs! Treasure Planet has some visually stunning scenes and some great skies and terrains that could be easily utilized to create some really neat Toy Boxes.

The Etherium

Transform the sky dome into the Etherium from Treasure Planet. High in the sky, glowing like a full moon, would be Montressor Spaceport, the crescent shaped port for flying ships. The sky would be filled with stars in a purple and deep blue haze. Occasionally, the door that Captain Flint used to plunder from a thousand worlds would appear, opening briefly to show a his loot. A space galleon, like the RLS Legacy, could fly by every now and then. The music would be "The Launch" from the soundtrack by James Newton Howard.

Treasure Planet

Change your Toy Box to Treasure Planet! As Silver and his crew discovered Treasure Planet and it's secrets, you can too! The ground would be a covered with vines and creeping plant-like organisms, but underneath it would glow green. Pulses of green would light up the terrain, leading you ever closer to the centroid of the mechanism. Strange alien plants, some tall and airy and others long and centipede-like, would be able to be placed, truly given the look of an alien world. The water would be dark and foreboding, lined with small tube like plants. The music would be "Ben" from the soundtrack by James Newton Howard.

Last, but not least, we would love to see Jim Hawkins as a playable character. Long John Silver said it best,"You got the makings of greatness in you, but you got to take the helm and chart your own course. Stick to it, no matter the squalls! And when the time comes you get the chance to really test the cut of your sails, and show what you're made of... well, I hope I'm there, catching some of the light coming off you that day."

That description sounds like the perfect reason to include Jim Hawkins in a future Disney Infinity release. Jim is resourceful, clever, and believes in the impossible - I'd say that he would fit right in with Disney Infinity, where the impossible is just the beginning!

Gravity Falls will have a big presence in Disney Infinity 2.0. Not only will you be able to add the Mystery Shack to your Toy Box, but you will be able to add some great interior items to decorate with, ride on the Mystery Shack cart, and customize the whole Toy Box to look like the strange little town in Oregon. Oh, and don't forget to arm yourself with Mabel's Kitten Fists!

Sadly, as of yet, there are no Dipper and Mabel playable characters. Though they would be really fun. I would love to see Phineas and Dipper team-up!

Disney Infinity Wish List

Adding to our wish list this week are two power discs from my favorite Disney animated film, One Hundred and One Dalmatians. We already have Cruella DeVil's car, we just need an appropriate setting to drive wrecklessly around in!

Pongo's Twilight Bark

 Pongo's Twilight Bark - A tranquil sky filled with the beautiful colors of the setting sun on a English countryside. The music for this sky would be the track "Puppies Everywhere" from the original 1961 soundtrack. Hell Hall would haunt the sky in the distance.

Pongo's Winter Countryside

Pongo's Winter Countryside - A quiet snow falls on the English countryside. Snow adorns wooden fences and dead trees that litter the landscape. A river that has been frozen over creates the perfect escape and hiding place under an old stone bridge. Snow banks create the perfect the place to make snow angels. The music would be "Through the Snow/Shelter" from the original 1961 soundtrack.

Wilbur's Time Machine

Travel through time with Wilbur Robinson's Time Machine! Fly through the Toy Box at lightning speed while listening to "To the Future" from the film's soundtrack. The Time Machine features a glowing blue shield and boost. There's room for two!

Disney Team-Up - Tiny

Need help squashing your enemies? Tiny the T-Rex, who has little arms and a big head, will help stomp your foes and toss them into next week! He may be big and fierce, but he's as gentle as a puppy.

Disney Infinity 2.0 is inching ever closer. There are bound to be lots of announcements at San Diego Comic-Con as well. But before all that, let's see another Disney Infinity 2.0 Power Disc wish list item!

Disney Team-Up: Elliott

This power disc is a team-up with a Disney original: Elliott from Pete's Dragon. Elliott would appear and disappear as needed, breathing fire on your enemies. He's loyal and will stay by your side through thick and thin. Who knows, he might be useful against Frost Giants. 

Totoro Power Discs - Disney Infinity

Disney Infinity 2.0 is just around the corner. I'm super excited and can't wait to start collecting and playing! The power discs seem really incredible and diverse, utilizing many Disney properties. Today, we're going to start our Disney Infinity Wish List!

Totoro's Catbus

The Cat Bus would the best way to get around in the Toy Box. A twelve-legged bus that can run, climb, and jump. It would play the Nekobasu (ねこバス, "Catbus") music and have its recognizable meow as the horn.

Totoro's Camphor Tree

 The sky of the Toy Box would be transformed to the serene blue sky found above the Camphor Tree, which would be the prominent feature of the horizon. Surrounding the tree would be rice fields, gorgeous green pastures, and the calming green of a magical forest. The music to accompany the sky would be Chiisana Obake (小さなオバケ, "A Little Monster") or Tsukiyo no Hikō (月夜の飛行, "Moonlight Flight") from the soundtrack by Joe Hisaishi.

Totoro's Forest Realm

The terrain would be magically changed to the Tsukamori Forest, where Totoro dwells in the Camphor Tree. The water would be crystal clear with reeds and cattails growing around it and lily pads sitting atop the calm water. The trees would be strong and elegant with a little bit of whimsical charm. The colors would be bright, but true to nature. The ground would be a lush green, that looks soft enough to take a nap on.

Power Discs-Disney Infinity 2.0

Disney Infinity 2.0 continues to impress. At E3, a few power discs for Disney Infinity 2.0 have been revealed and boy are they great! The ones that have been revealed are not Marvel properties at all, but based on more classic Disney properties, including the Muppets and the Main Street Electrical Parade (which looks like a rare disc)!

It's great to see such a mix of Disney properties, from movies to parks. Not only are they reaching new fans, but old fans who have amazing memories of Disney past. So, when do we get a Haunted Mansion sky disc and terrain and The Muppets as playable characters? I can wait. I'm happy the Muppets are still being included!

I'm wondering now - Will the playsets all be Marvel based? And the other Disney properties get to be power discs?
