Probably the cutest thing to come out of Disney in awhile, Disney Tsum Tsum (Disney Stack Stack) is a game based off the adorable plush toy line. It dropped to Google Play and the App store on Friday and the game is fun and addicting while remaining simplistic. The game stars the Tsum Tsum characters and introduces simple puzzle mechanics to gain points, level up, and collect even more irresistible plush characters.
You start with Mickey Mouse as your main character and enter the puzzle world of Tsum Tsum. The object is to connect matching characters as the continue to fall from above. The longer the chain the more points and coins you earn. There are always five different characters in a single puzzle and the characters will change based on the main character you chose. For instance, use Mickey as your Tsum Tsum and the puzzle will populate with Alien, Daisy, Pluto, Mickey and Tigger. Use Dale and the puzzle populates with Dale, Piglet, Daisy, Pooh, and Goofy. Each character also has a special ability to use when you collect enough of that character. When you use Dale's ability, it turns an entire row into Chip Tsums (they count as Dale though). Mickey will clear all the Tsums in the center of the screen.
Each puzzle played awards coins and experience points to level up your character to buy more characters and to get better bonuses. Every day there is also a daily challenge you can complete to earn more coins and experience. You buy characters from mystery boxes so each purchase is random. A little fun since they have a whole list of awesome characters including my favorite, Stitch! Even Jack Skellington and Zero make an appearance but I have yet to see them as a Tsum Tsum character. Each character comes with their own unique ability and it seems like the actual line of Tsum Tsum plush toys is always expanding which should allow for more characters to be added to the came. Some rare characters could be coming including Cleo, Scrump, Oswald, and Bambi.
Overall the game is fun, simple, and addicting. I think the more points and coins can be awarded after each puzzle however to make new characters more obtainable. I know it's a game I'll come back to again and again, I mean, who doesn't want to pop orb shaped renditions of their favorite Disney characters?!
