Disney Parks blog announced yesterday a flurry of sparkling events coming to Disneyland Park in honor of their Diamond Anniversary!

From the Disney Parks Blog:

As part of the celebration, the iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland park and Carthay Circle Theatre in Disney California Adventure park will glisten and gleam, each with its own diamond medallion featuring the letter “D.” The entire resort will sparkle with Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration décor and festive banners in shades of Disneyland blue. Also bearing the diamond anniversary theme, creative merchandise and food items will be designed to complement the celebration. We’ll have more to share on those special items soon.

“As time has shown, Disneyland marked the beginning of something bigger than anyone could have imagined and this Diamond Celebration embraces its rich history while honoring Walt Disney’s commitment to pushing boundaries to create exciting and innovative new experiences for our guests,” said Staggs.

We’ll have more to share on the Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration in the coming months, so keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog and join the conversation with the hashtag #Disneyland60!

Fantastic Four Teaser Trailer

20th Century Fox released the Fantastic Four teaser trailer today and here it is:

Its not a remake, but a total re-imaging of the Fantastic Four. These four are young, hip, and well, very different from the original comics. Some interesting things to note in the trailer is the opening scene with the name GRIMM painted on the side of a building outside a junk yard, the lack of any space travel and cosmic beams, and Doom has yet to make an appearance. Watch the trailer and judge for yourself. Will the Fantastic Four be fantastic or will it be fantastically awful?

Toho to make Godzilla 2016

With the success of Gareth Edwards Godzilla, it would only be appropriate that Toho studios once again revive the king in an all new movie produced by the original studio that created the monster. 10 long years passed between Godzilla: Final Wars and Godzilla 2014, and the wait couldn't have paid off more than with the rebirth of the King.

"This is very good timing after the success of the American version this year: if not now, then when? The licensing contract we have with Legendary places no restrictions on us making domestic versions," a Toho staffer said.

While there are no details pertaining to the movie the announcement, it is just enough to get me excited about Toho's Godzilla in 2016 and enough to tide me over for Legendary Pictures Godzilla in 2017.

TinkerBell and The Legend of The NeverBeast - Tink'n About Animals

Coming soon from Disney Fairies is TinkerBell and the Legend of the NeverBeast! This little short, which is hilarious and really really fun, introduces us to the NeverBeast . . . and some other amazing animal group names. It'll get stuck in your head, which is a good thing.

Also, baby Tick Tock Croc is here again! He completely stole the show in TinkerBell and Pirate Fairy. Glad to see he's sticking around.

Some Bad Comes to Disney Infinity

Today, Disney Infinity just got a little villainous with the release of Yondu, Green Goblin, and Ronan. Here's a little more info about one of the best villains of all time, Green Goblin, and how he plays in Disney Infinity.

Green Goblin plays much like Venom, Groot, and Hulk. He's a large, heavy character who stomps the ground when he walks. Goblin's initial attacks include punches, a ground pound, and his pumpkin bombs. The pumpkin bombs stick to the environment if not hitting a target. Otherwise, if aimed at a target, they explode upon contact. These can eventually be upgraded to bolas. His electric glove attack is also available as an upgrade, as well as increased speed, increased damage with his air assault, and increased leaping. The effects that go with each attack, namely green lightning, look great and really capture this version of Goblin. He's also a chatty fellow with lots to say.

The Green Goblin figure looks wonderful! The pose is dynamic, the paint job is well done, and the sculpt is amazing. If an army of these little guys came after me, I'd be afraid! He stands up well amongst Spider-Man and Venom. I was hoping that when played in the Spider-Man playset, new missions would be available. However, this was not the case. I'm hoping this is just a fluke and perhaps, in time, missions will appear. The biggest thing that is missing, or I've just overlooked it, is his goblin glider! Now how can you have a goblin without his glider? Hmm.

Goblin is great fun to play with the Disney power discs! For instance, Goblin with Kitten Fists. Now that's spectacular! I can't wait for the other villains to be released. Now go and wreak havoc in the Pride Lands, or better yet, a Small World!

New Avengers Trailer Arrives - Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron Trailer 2

Rejoice! Another Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer debuted! This time, we get a more somber trailer that reveals slightly more of some of the characters, like QuickSilver and Scarlet Witch, as well as Andy Serkis in an undisclosed role (though there is plenty of speculation from Magneto to Klaw!).

Alos, Hulk Buster and more Ultron. Ultron, from the trailers, is quickly becoming a terrifying adversary with a surprising touch of the dramatic for such a soulless monster.

Enjoy!

See Spots on Blu-ray

Disney's 1961 animated classic One Hundred and One Dalmatians is coming to Disney Blu-ray Diamond Edition on February 10, 2015!

Besides being in HD, it boasts a special feature - an animated short continuation of the Thunder bolt cartoon seen in the film entitled "The Further Adventures of Thunderbolt." I just hope we get another Canine Crunchies commerical with the extended jingle from the soundtrack.

Even though the characters are mostly black and white, it'll be great to see an HD version of this beloved classic!
