Phineas and Ferb Top 5 OWCA Agents

Phineas and Ferb

End of Summer Countdown

Top 5 OWCA Agents

O.W.C.A or the Organization Without a Cool Acronym is a secret agency that thwarts evil. Their most famous agent, Agent P (a.k.a. Perry the Platypus) is one of their top agents and assigned to foil the evil Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz. But with so many evil doers in the world and the formation of L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N, there are numerous other animal agents that get to share the spotlight with Agent P as well. We have the top 5 other agents of O.W.C.A, ranging from a gastropod to the supernatural!

Why: Peter the Panda (also Agent P?) is a Panda Bear that works in the Seattle Division of O.W.C.A. He used to be the nemesis of Dr. Doofenshimrtz but now thwarts Doctor Mystery. Notice his hat is brown instead of purple.

Why: Planty the Potted Plant. While Agent P is busy trying to stop a rogue agent from getting access to O.W.C.A, a desperate Dr. D creates Planty the Potted plant to foil his evil schemes. Originally Planty wore a paper hat created by Dr. D but after doing an excellent job of defeated Dr. D he was made a member of O.W.C.A.

Why: Agent CH is a Chupacabra. A supernatural creature rumored to hunt farmers livestock at night and suck their insides out, hence the literal translation of “goat sucker.” During a trip to New Mexico Phineas and Ferb manage to capture Agent CH and Perry is sent to free him. Luckily, Dr. D’s Switch-inator allows Agent CH and Buford to change places. We never get to see all of Agent CH but he is a great addition to the team.

Why: Agent F. Perhaps who Agent T (tadpole) metamorphs into. We just like frogs around here.

Why: Sergei the Snail. He no-handedly defeats Dr. Doofenshmirtz when Perry the Platypus was assigned to a super villain and Dr. D was downgraded to a low threat villain. He has incredible strength for a snail, smacking Doof around like a rag doll and toss him across a room. His weakness, salt. Sergei is generally assigned to low threat villains due to his slow speed but has proved himself in combat more than a few times.

Other notable Agents:
Herman the Hedgehog
Newton the Gnu
Agent W (Whale)

Phineas & Ferb Top 5 Episodes of Season 4

Phineas and Ferb
End of Summer Countdown

Top 5 Episodes of Season 3

"Der Kinderlumper"

Why: This episode introduces Der Kinderlumper in one of Doof's most bizarre schemes. Not only do Doof and Perry become monstrous versions of themselves, but so do the racing Chinchillas. Yes, Chinchillas. It has a great song (well, two different versions of the song) that help round out Doof's childhood. It's fun, it's crazy, and really enjoyable!

"Bee Story"

Why: The second part of an episode that happens simultaneously with the first part focuses on the Fireside Girls and bees for the Bee Day celebration in Danville. We see the return of another invention from Phineas and Ferb and get an Agent Pinky story. There's a great song that is not only fun but quite educational and scientifically correct. Now go out and do the waggle dance.

"La Candance-Cabra"

Why: Phineas and Ferb try to track down the elusive chompy-cobra, I mean, Chupacabra. Candace gets really close to a bust on this one! But alas, Doof's inator interferes and we end up with Buford in a goat suit. We also learn about a new Agent of the OWCA.

"Terrifying Tri-State Trilogy of Terror"

Why: The Halloween episodes of Phineas and Ferb are always winners. This time we get a full half hour of stories that are parodies of classic horror cliches and films. Ducky Momo stars in a story about an evil doll that comes to life! The giant baby head appears with Doof and Perry! And Perry becomes a gremlin like creature who multiples and ends in a gruesome finale! But it's all in good fun.

"Just Our Luck"

Why: One word - stinkelkrampen. Oh yes, and a great song with Candace getting even closer to busting then she has ever been. But her luck just doesn't hold out.

P&F: Top Episodes of Season 3 Part 2

Phineas and Ferb
End of Summer Countdown

Top 5 Episodes of Season 3

"Candace Disconnected"

Why: In this episode, Candace loses her phone and it results in very humorous results including a rim-shot app, Agent T, talking about people behind their backs, and Vanessa being picked up by a random flying thing because Doof needs to work out. The song he works out to leads to one of the best sequences in the episode.

"Mommy Can You Hear Me?"

Why: While Candace is on the mend, Phineas and Ferb start building in the backyard to send a message to their Russian cosmonaut friend. However, Mom is in the backyard listening to Dad's soundscapes and doesn't hear them building. The best part of this episode is Candace's desperate attempt to warn Mom leading to some very memorable Candace moments.

"Minor Monogram"

Why: This episode is full of wonderfulness - S'Fall, gourd helmets, Candace unable to bust Phineas and Ferb, gourd helmets, Vanessa's clothing choice, Monty Monogram, and gourd helmets. Did I mention gourd helmets? I really like the gourd helmets.

"When Worlds Collide"

Why: This episode made it to the list for two main reasons - the Bust Accord and the Double-Dutch machine. Also, Baljeet has some really great moments in this one, too, especially when Buford makes a comparison to sets of keys.

"Road to Danville"

Why: Seeing Agent P and Doof team-up in this way is so much fun. Doof acknowledges a lot of the amusing parts of their relationship. It's a fun episode that lets us in on a complicated relationship between enemies, or are they friends? Hmmmm . . . .

Runner-Up:
Canderemy
Monster from the Id
Gi-Ants

Phineas and Ferb End of Summer Countdown Top 5 Episodes of Season 3 Part 1

Phineas and Ferb
End of Summer Countdown

Top 5 Episodes of Season 3 Part 1

'Blackout"

Why: The entire episode is animated in the dark. All you see is floating eyes most of the episode. It's a brilliant concept and so much fun to watch nothing going on yet so much, but we don't know what!

"Phineas and Ferb Interrupted"

Why: The song in this episode is great. Also, Candace is right there helping the boys build something while Linda watches. The song is particularly catchy while the entire cast sings, including Doofenshmirtz. Blueprints!

"Road Trip"
Why: Best Candace realization moment ever!

"The Curse of Candace"
Why: Not only does the episode have a great take on the "Twilight" series, Candace also believes she's a vampire. Ferb gets one line at the end and it is totally worth the wait!

"The Doonkleberry Imperative"
Why: The boys invent a pretty impressive machine in this episode that bends the Earth. Doof and Perry go for a drive in a very memorable moment: kittens on windshields, boulders, coffee, and Doof doing what he does best. The song is exellent as well!

P&F: Top 5 Inators and Schemes of Doofenshmirtz

Phineas and Ferb

End of Summer Countdown

Top 5 Inators and Schemes of Doofenshmirtz

As everyone who watches the show knows, Heinz Doofenshmirtz spends his wife's alimony checks on building Inators. An Inator is a device that will some how help Doof take over the Tri-State area. Usually these devices help resolve some back story incident. Or, they are completely off the wall and bizarre. Below we've highlighted five of our favorite Inators. They are on this list for many reasons, whether it be humor, innovation, creativity, or uniqueness. It was hard to choose just five out of the over one hundred schemes and Inators. We hope you enjoy! Let us know what your favorite schemes or Inators were in the comments.

Launching Big Ben to Danville
"Elementary My Dear Stacy"
Why: We've all been there. You want to know what time it is, but you can't read the teeny tiny hands on your watch. It's much easier to travel across the globe with a complicated scheme and just get a giant clock. Ain't nobody got time to drive to the store, find a parking spot, and then choose from dozens of styles. This is much easier.

Naughty-inator
"Phineas and Ferb Christmas Vacation!"
Why: This is one of those few times when Doof's plan directly interferes with what Phineas and Ferb are doing. Doof actually ruins Christmas! Well, I guess Santa actually ruins Christmas so that everybody gets what they want. But in any case, Doof's plan succeeds all too well.

De-Volition-inator
"Brain Drain"
Why: Not only does this Inator have a great song to go with it at the end of the episode, but Perry the Platypus almost eats sidewalk gum (that's so unsanitary) and steals a cart from the store parking lot! Easily the most amusing Inator. Again, this one clearly works. In fact, it seems that this scheme works out just fine for Doof. And Vanessa, in the end.

Chicken Replace-inator
"What A Croc!"
Why: Chicken. Laugh. It's a thing.

Kinderlumper-inator
"Der Kinderlumper"
Why: Der Kinderlumper is a brilliant creation for the Phineas and Ferb universe. This Inator not only works well, as evident by Perry and the Chinchillas, but it gives a little more depth to Doof and his home land. I can't even imagine growing up somewhere with that lurking fear of the Gundersack around every corner, head turn, and blink.

P&F: Top 5 Episodes of Season 2 Part 2

Phineas and Ferb
End of Summer Countdown

Top 5 Episodes of Season 2 Part 2

"Chez Platypus"

Why: Evil love! Probably one of my favorite songs of the season and we get a really intense Doofenshmirtz about to press the button, criticizing love. Also, you'll notice Doofenshmirtz reinforced the door... but not the lock. The small moments really make this episode, including the opening scene with the trendy restaurant that starts the whole show off.

"The Lake Nose Monster"

Why: Starting off the season on a very high note, the first 5 minutes of this episode has it all: quick puns, Candace, witty dialogue, and a monster. "Big Laundry" also makes its first appearance which leads into a later episode. Doof really makes the episode and he doesn't even have a plan (Zincfoil anyone?). The fact that he wants chicken wings delivered below the lake is classic. Nosebud. Best reference ever!

"Make Play"
Why: Doppleganger. Candace. End of the world. I think that's all you need to know. The fact the boys just "go with it" when Candace is speaking with an accent and "Making Play" just has me laughing out loud every time. Just remember, "Absolute power bores absolutely."

"Tip of the Day"

Why: This episode answers the age of question, "What is the little thing on the end of a shoelace called?" An aglet. Candace also has soem great points about crossword puzzles, "Thats why they make smart word box for tell monkey hard brain hurty thing." Which Phineas replies, "Removing prepositions makes it more condescending." Couldn't stop laughing. Great song and Candace with the amazing ability not to learn the word. It doesn't matter.

"Let's Take a Quiz"

Why: The actual show, "Let's take a Quiz," has a catchy theme and the show means absolutely nothing. Tralfazz?? Fine Tralfazz! Seriously, what are they even doing? Candace certainly can take a physical challenge when needed, but was it really needed. Yes, see the picture to the left. Probably has the best ending ever.

P&F: Top 5 Episodes of Season 2

Phineas and Ferb
End of Summer Countdown

Top 5 Episodes of Season 2

"Don't Even Blink"

Why: Not only does this episode have a great song, but the premise is really good. What does happen to the inventions of Phineas and Ferb? Candace works ridiculously hard to figure it out and even enlists Phineas, Ferb, their friends, and the Fireside Girls to help. Poor Candace, she'll never know. Plus, invisible fighting between Doof and Agent P.

"The Chronicles of Meap"

Why: Who doesn't love Meap? This episode has everything - aliens, Bango-Rus, allusions to classic sci-fi movies (Star Wars, E.T., and Aliens, for example), Balloony, the Shocky Socky Suit, and clown children.

"Not Phineas and Ferb"

Why: This episode shows us what happens when Phineas and Ferb are otherwise preoccupied with something (Space Adventures Marathon). Baljeet and Buford are quite hilarious trying to be Phineas and Ferb. Candace tries the ultimate bust by calling everyone's mom to come over to see their kids being naughty. We also see scale model litter and get some great small puns as Doof is shrinking famous landmarks.

"Nerds of a Feather"

Why: Ducky Momo. Science Fiction. Fantasy. All in one place. That's it.

"Candace Gets Busted"

Why: Probably one of the most hilarious episodes. Candace accidentally throws the biggest party of the summer and gets busted. The Mysterious Force does not work for her as it does for Phineas and Ferb. Which is sad, as Candace really had nothing to do with the party getting out of hand. "Candace Party" is easily one of my favorite songs.

Runner-Up:
"Tip of the Day"
"Invasion of the Ferb Snatchers"
"We Call it Maze"
"Brain Drain"

Tomorrowland 4 disc pack for Disney Infinity 3.0

Power discs have always been an issue for the Disney Infinity Collector. The smartest move Disney made was making the Series 2 power discs in Disney Infinity 1.0 available in a complete book. Here at Muppets, Monsters, and Magic, we didn't hesitate to get it. Most of the fun of Disney Infinity happens in the toy box and that's where we spend the majority of our time.  New terrain, skies, power-ups, vehicles, and weapons make the experience that much more fun and diverse.

However, obtaining all the power discs in near impossible. Still missing many from 1.0, series 3 and out of the 100 or more discs I have from 2.0, I never once got an Ant-Man! Now tell me, after spending hundreds of dollars and buying tons of packs, you are telling me I can't ever get the complete collection? I've gotten more "Rare" discs than I have the "Common" Ant-Man disc.

But now, Disney Infinity 3.0 will be selling its power discs in themed four-packs based on Disney properties or special events. Retailing at $9.99, each disc is clearly marked, and there’s no chance of doubles. Same price for 4 discs with NO repeats! I can get behind this. I don't like throwing my money away for a blind pack to discover I already have 6 Winter Soldier power discs, but I am will to spend my money on the entire collection presented in the 4 packs.

The Tomorrowland Power Disc Pack comes with discs:
  • The Retro Ray Gun will give players a blast from the past feel with a crimson and gold retro-futuristic weapon (weapon)

  • Tomorrowland Time Bomb will unleash a powerful shockwave and temporarily freeze your opposition in time (weapon)
  • Tomorrowland Stratosphere allows you to transform the Toy Box with amazing vista from the futuristic world of Tomorrowland (sky)
  • Tomorrowland Futurescape will allow players to experience the utopian city of Tomorrowland (terrain)
With Tomorrowland releasing this Friday it seems fitting this would be the first power disc pack announced. Hot toys also just announced it will be featuring Tomorrowland Sixth Scale figures in the near future.

End of Summer Countdown

Top 5 Episodes of Season 1

Dude, We're Getting the Band Back Together

Why: Incredibly catchy tunes, a two part episode, and we get to see where Linda gets her hairs style from. Also, Doofenshmirtz and Perry the Platypus work together to give Vanessa the best birthday ever! Candace asking for the boys help, what was she thinking?

One Good Scare Ought to do it!

Why: Giant floating baby head, enough said. Seriously, where did that come from though? We have the introduction of Jeremy's little sister, Suzy, everyone's worst fears realized, and one of my favorite moments between Candace and Baljeet and a satchel.

Out to Launch

Why: The Phineas and Ferb universe gets a little bigger with space exploration and the boys now own a new Milk Shake Bar. Best moment, Candace saying, "I can't hear you, my cheeks are covering my ears." Also, "Cookie, Cookie, Cookie," because the echo is off.

Phineas and Ferb Get Busted

Why: We all thought Candace had finally busted the boys, but it was too good to be true. A startling episode that went from clever to crazy, especially with the talking Zebra, you know the one Kevin.

Toy to the World

Why: The Phineas and Ferb working music makes it's big debut! The brilliant concept of the In-Action figure really seals the deal on this episode along with, "Brick, It's fun!" We also see the Mom suit for the first time!

P&F: Top 5 Episodes of Season 1

Phineas and Ferb
End of Summer Countdown

Top 5 Episodes of Season 1

"The Best Lazy Day Ever"

Why: This has one of my favorite lines in it, "What does it look like I'm doing? I'm busting my brothers!"and "Who is Candace?" as she struggles with her identity when she can't bust Phineas and Ferb because they are not doing anything bustable. It's a fun take on the show formula.

"Unfair Science Fair (Redux)"

Why: I love that we get a story that extends beyond the first eleven minutes and shows us what is happening simultaneously, in this case, Candace becomes Queen of Mars when she thinks her friends have ditched her. Also, CYL BBF S (which stands for Candace You Loser Bad Friendships Fail Stacy).

"The Monster of Phineas-n-Ferbenstein"

Why: It's got muted color, monsters, a fairy princess, some great visual gags (spare parts), and Candace quotes galore! "Would you keep it down, I'm trying to use the quill!" and "I'm telling mob."

"It's About Time"

Why: One simple sentence - screaming Candace dinosaurs. We also meet Peter the Panda for the first time and get two great songs.

"I Scream, You Scream"

Why: The plot swap in this episode makes it extremely memorable. Phineas and Ferb unknowingly make an -inator and Doof makes a giant ice cream machine. Also, Carl's disguise is classic.

Jim Henson: 25 Years Later

Celebrating Jim Henson

Jim Henson passed away 25 years ago today. Jim and his creations have meant so much for so many people. Since the debut of Sam & Friends, it seems that Muppets have always been a part of our lives.

We are so very grateful for Jim Henson and his creations, from Sesame Street to the Muppet gang, they have touched our lives and the lives of many generations. Everyone has a favorite Muppet, though some may be loathe to admit it. Whether it's Elmo or Ernie, Miss Piggy or Bean Bunny. These characters are adored and admired by so many. Sometimes we forget that these characters came from an idea. Jim said this:

"As I try to zero in on what's important for the Muppets, I think it's a sense of innocence, naivete - you know, the experience of a simple person meeting life. Even the most worldly of our characters is innocent. Our villains are innocent, really. And it's that innocence that I think is the connection to the audience."

Jim always wanted to make a difference in the world. And he did. He inspired us and continues to do so. He made us ambitious and follow our dreams. We'll never forget you, Jim!

So today, watch your favorite Muppet production. Do something creative! Be ridiculously optimistic! Celebrate life!

We miss you, Jim, but we know you'll always be with us. Thanks for making the world a better place.
